POLICE COURT. Friday, 5th July. “Hannah Baker was charged with drunkenness and riotous conduct, the preceding evening, in Hindley-street. The policeman who apprehended her deposed that he saw her fighting with her husband, and separated them. Half-an-hour afterwards she again behaved so badly, that he was obliged to remove her. Prisoner, in defence, said she was trying to prevent her husband from spending his money at a public-house. The Commissioner recognised her as an old offender, and fined her £1, or one month.”
